Jenn’s passion for massage therapy stems from
Growing up in Squamish, Jenn Foreman developed an early appreciation for the ‘Squamish outdoor lifestyle.’ She has competed as a mountain biker, soccer player and paddle boarder and as a recreational weight lifter and snowboarder. Through these experiences, Jenn developed a deeply connected interest and awareness of body mechanics. These experiences are what inspired her to become a RMT. In 2012, Jenn graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy
As a RMT, Jenn seeks to facilitate improvements in an individual’s health by directly addressing and maintaining a patient’s range of motion and quality of life. Her passion for massage therapy has led her to utilize unique therapeutic approaches that incorporate the biopsychosocial model. Jenn understands the importance of addressing not only the body but also the mind by treating each person with a deep level of respect and compassion. She achieves this through guided practitioner/patient lead breath work and the use of weighted bags to promote a deeper sense of mind body connection and relaxation.
Jenn’s therapeutic skill set includes myofascial release, deep tissue work, pre/post sports massage, orthopaedic massage and prenatal massage. She has also developed her knowledge base by continuing her studies in the treatment of post-surgical adhesions and k-taping applications. As well, she has attended intensive lectures regarding anatomy and mental health. Jenn always is keen to take on the challenge of a complex case and is enthusiastic to educate patients on their health and well-being.
