Megan Joseph moved to the Sea to Sky corridor in 1994 and fell in love with the people and the place. Megan’s love of the outdoors inevitably led to physiotherapy, chiropractic and massage appointments. She decided the other side of the treatment table would make for an interesting career.
Megan’s approach to treatment focuses on muscle imbalances, structural alignment and soft tissue restrictions. Her practice over the years has been filled with patients who value massage for injury treatment, postural reeducation, pain relief, stress relief and to combat the physical effects of their jobs, sports, activities and pregnancies.
Megan graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy. She has gained experience treating patients with; spinal and cerebral injuries/illness, those in long term care facilities and women with high-risk pregnancies. She has also had incredible experiences working with athletes, specifically the Vancouver Canucks, UBC varsity athletes and at the 2003 World Weight Lifting Championships. In the pursuit of increased knowledge Megan has taken courses in myofascial release, visceral manipulation, yoga therapy, energetic grounding and Anatomy Trains and movement. Megan has experience as a personal trainer and in pre & post natal fitness.
Megan has personal experience in both competitive and non-competitive sport, specifically alpine and nordic skiing, equestrian sport, mountain and road riding, triathlon and distance running. She is active in community events and can typically be found on the trails with her girls.
